A short story on cycling the remote Outer Hebrides cluster of Islands had me scurrying about to find a way to get my bike to this remote region. So a flight to Glasgow and a mixture of trains, ferries, and a push into squally winds and Northern hemisphere greyness has me excited. But wait there is more. I found out the best way to reach The Stans and Georgia was out of Frankfurt. Why not tag it on to my Autumn in Europe ? The Stan’s have been on my radar for a couple of years. The crossover of Europe into Asia with influences from both and the feel of remoteness and hard life in this rugged environment.
